Very Curly Hair?

My hair is very very curly and I rarely straighten it because it just looks brittle when I do. I have worn the same hairstyle for years because it looks alright that way. The thing is I am bored with it. Anyone have any ideas on how I could wear it differently. Its length is midback. It's all one length, and I have bangs, Right now I wear it parted to the side and a lil puffed on the top. People always like to play with my hair and they tell me how lucky i am to have it but its a nightmare to try and find a style for it. Oh, one thing I wont do is cut it because it took me years to get it this long.

Very Curly Hair?

when its wet, use a whole buch of straightening balm or serum,(drugstore) and then braid it really tight. That should give it a different look.

you can use a curling iron to make some more relaxed ringlets.

If you dont mind curlers at night, use those twisty curlers. it will give more definition to your curls.

since it's long, maybe you can try frenchbraiding it around your head. if your a hippie person you could put flowers in the braid.

when you say puffed on top, do you mean feathered or do you mean those poofy bangs of the 90's. either way, get rid of them, or grow them out b/c you are definately living in the past. Those types of bangs detract from the face and make you look like a hick. no offense. just answering honestly

or if you do indeed love you're 80's 90's bangs, then I'd have to say, wear a funky side ponytail.

Very Curly Hair?

Just get it layered and use Infusium 23.

Very Curly Hair?

I say grow out your bangs and maybe put a few layers in it!! I love curly hair to.

Very Curly Hair?

It will continue to look brittle unless you get it trimmed. You could always get a straight perm and trim your ends or a different kind of curly perm.

Very Curly Hair?

Hi there...

Well there is one thing that you can do that i can think of..my best friend has VERY curly hair as well and hse was sick of it wanted it straight..so she went to hair salon and got htem to perm it straight..she goes every couple of months and get's it done again...but it's been three years and she's still got stright hair..it worked her hopefully it works for you.

Good Luck

Very Curly Hair?

I think you should get it layered but keep it long! And maybe some blond highlights too! Or light red.

Very Curly Hair?

I have fine, curly hair. I wear mine above the shoulders, parted to one side and no bangs. I also have it layered so that it doesn't give me a triangular shaped head. (flat on top and full at bottom) This style seems to work the best for me.

Very Curly Hair?

Here are a few tips I think might help. I have simi-curly hair and my stylist puts chi products on my hair to give it a silk look and shine to my hair when she straightens my hair. Also there are products like Sunsilk Shampoo and Conditioner that gives a brittle look a silk look..Or find something that has Meadow Foam Oil in it. That gives a healthy sexy-looking curly hair, even when you straighten it. If you don't want to cut your hair because it has taken you a long time to get it to that length, try long layers. It wont take the length away at all, just extra body

Very Curly Hair?

I'm african. I have the curliext hair you'll ever see. What I do is Straighten it with a relaxer. I found that perming in the US is curling.... What I'm talking about is relaxing teh hair. It will make the hair really straight and you'll have to stay away from water for teh first three days after you've treated it. After thet.. you can wash and blowdry or set it in curlers... whatever tickles your fancy.

If you're like sme women who do not like to put chemicals in their hair.. you could braid your hair. Nowadays you can do rasta or corn rows.... dread locks and weave ons... have fun with your hair.

Curly to Straight Hair?

I'm a guy and I have curly hair. I don't like it at all. I want it to be straight. I've tried straightening it but its not long enough. It is only to like my nose. I can straighten it on the front but the back is too hard. All my friends at skewl tell me I should have straight hair. What can I do to make it straight.

Curly to Straight Hair?

Straight it .

Curly to Straight Hair?

Curly to Straight Hair?

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

help....my 3 year old has a lot of hair and though its not tight ringlets, it is very curly....it is thickly sown but each hair is fine, it gets terribly tangled and at nightshe rubs her head on the pillow to get to sleep...this makes it go into dredlocks! Ive tried leave in conditioner and Ive tried a detangling spray but they hardly help at all...I just tried an expensive adult conditioner to no avail....what am I missing?

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

I know exactly how you feel, I have the same problem so will be looking at the answers slosely for more tips!

At the moment I use adult shampoo and condition especially for curly hair, then while still quite wet I put in leave in conditioner, i use a wide tooth comb and gradually work through the hair to detangle. Make sure the hair is quite wet while combing it - makes it sooo much easier with less frizz! I find the longer I leave it the worse it gets so I would do this routine everyday. Also regular hair cuts help as well.

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

Go to this site: http://www.curlykids.com Trust me.

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

Cut the curls off, or, um, maybe, um, GET IT STRAIGHTENED??? lol

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

i feel you. same with my girl. she is mixed black and white, so i put some ethnic hair care in her hair, i couldnt tell you the name of it but it is in a pink bottle and it is like hair lotion, if you go to walmart it is by the hair products in the "ethnic hair care" section. it helps a little, it softens her hair

Toddlers curly hair is a nightmare?

have you tried using a skully or scarf at night to keep the curls in place. Braiding it before bedtime may also help.

And no srry i cant get a perm : ( dont want 1 either

Xtreme Curly HAIR, HELP!!!! Me?

My hair is really curly and it tangles very easily is I don't put anything in it.

I use TRESemme mousse, LA Looks hair gel [sport cause it has a flexible hold], and Aquanet.

If you prefer it less "crunchy" you can use TRESemme hairspray instead. Or just try various products until you find what works for you best

Xtreme Curly HAIR, HELP!!!! Me?

There is something that has always worked for me when i permed my hair and the curls got out of control its called TIGI curls rock I swear by it. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.. no really i do its the best!

Xtreme Curly HAIR, HELP!!!! Me?

hi :) my BFF has hair just like yours, so i know how she does it. usually she puts gell or hairspray on it so that is doesn't poof and frizz. good luck!

Xtreme Curly HAIR, HELP!!!! Me?

Make sure you only brush your hair when it's wet.

I have curly hair and need a hair have a question guyshelp me out?

I have curly hair but it is long and is very long hard to manage my question is can i cut my hair to shoulder length or ill it look funny or more of the question is will it make my curls tighten up?

I have curly hair and need a hair have a question guyshelp me out?

The curls will tighten because some of the weight will be lightened. The good news, if you have a good stylist, she will know how to thin out your curls in order to give you some relief!

But overall, assuming you have a stylist that can give you some good shape, it should turn out fabulous!

I have curly hair and need a hair have a question guyshelp me out?

I have curly hair too and mine is just below my shoulders. If you ask the hairdresser to layer your hair all over and to thin your hair then it wont look huge. Trust me i do that all the time when i go. i was always afraid of getting it layered all over but that actually flattens it more so it wont look boofy when its short.

I have curly hair and need a hair have a question guyshelp me out?

If you want to have straight hair grow it out, the problem with this is it will probably frizz. Cut it short the curls will tighten, totally chic!!!

I have curly hair and need a hair have a question guyshelp me out?

The shorter curly hair is, the curlier it is. Sometimes it's harder to wear down because the hair poofs out to a triangular shape (ew). I suggest you don't get that much hair cut off and get it cut 4 or so inches below your shoudlers. Curly hair is also really slow at growing out because 1 inch of curly hair=2 inches of straight hair. Visit the website below for tips on how to manage curly hair!

Dying my curly hair crazy colors?

My hair is EXTREMELY curly. I was thinking about keeping the top layer of my hair brown but dying the rest a crazy looking color. Im more on the scene skater style if you know what i mean. Maybe a color like electric blue or purple. Or any other colors you'd like to suggest. Even maybe blonde. But i started thinking about it and do you think it will even look good?

starightening isnt an option..

if i permentantly do it it's to much money and it damages my hair to much.

Dying my curly hair crazy colors?

If you are up for people staring at you constantly everytime you are out, then go for it.

I have a bright pink wig... I wore it once and I love how it looks on me (so does everyone else, I'm told). But I couldn't stand the constant stares I was getting...

Plus, bright hair doesn't look very professional... if you are up for people taking you seriously... like employers, etc.

Dying my curly hair crazy colors?

I dyed all my hair pink once.

Let me tell you, it was fun, sure.

But the CONSTANT redying.

You would have to strip your hair of it's natural color now by using a bleach out kit. That will damage your hair really badly.

Your hair is really long and pretty.

Leave it alone.

Trust me.

You will regret it.

Dying my curly hair crazy colors?

Hey there!

Any colour would work well - just choose your favourite! After all, it's only hair, you can dye over it/cut it/it'll grow back...so have fun with it!

With curly hair, if you're thinking of doing sort of coloured highlights or sections, make sure they're fairly large - smaller sections tend to get lost in the curls.

Just generally, I find if you're doing a "crazy colour", they look best with darker colours, so keep the top layer of your hair brown, but try darkening it with a demi-permanent colour like Natural Instincts one or two shades. As for your underlayer! Try anything! As a warning, though, Red is a very tough colour to dye over/get out of hair, so if you try that and tire of it, you may have to get a professional to change it for you!

But have fun! It's only hair, don't take it too seriously!

Good luck!

What is a good hair gel for curly hair?

My hair is really curly but also really frizzy. I used this one gel in my hair that was perfect. It was kind of liquidy so it went on easy. It made it crunchy for a little bit but then after a couple hours went away. There was no frizz or poof. So my problem is that I ran out and Avon (where I got it) sold out. I tried using another but it was not as effective. The curls were less a little flat looking, there was frizz, and it had this strong bad perfume smell to it. My question is do you know any good hair gels for curly hair?

What is a good hair gel for curly hair?

My cousin has the exact same problem.

She uses LOREAL PARIS: Studio Above It All Invisi Gel: EXTREME HOLD.

It works very well....

After her shower, she literally just slaps it on and goes on with her life. She lets her hair airdry because if she blow dries it herself, it gets big... I'm sure you know this already... when it naturally dries, it looks amazing.

What is a good hair gel for curly hair?

You're welcome! I'm glad to help! Let me know how it works for you. :) Report It

What is a good hair gel for curly hair?

OMG! i feel your pain. i have found that pantene pro-v has really nice hair gel. also i personally love garnier fructese curl cream( sorry, i know i spelled that wrong). it keeps your curls frizz free while at the same time makes your curls nice and soft. I love it. its cheap too

I have curly hair what should I do?

Well I have thick, curly hair and its dry, frizzy and needs to be trimmed, but my mom won't find the time to take me a hair salon.

What should I put in my hair till' then?

I have curly hair what should I do?

There are tons of anti-frizz products on the market.

If you're looking for inexpensive, try Frizz-Ease, Citre-Shine's Shine Miracle Anti-Frizz System. Make sure you use a good moisturizing shampoo or conditioner as well. Nexxus Therappe/Humectress are awesome! :)

I have curly hair what should I do?

Try Terax Crema - it seriously works magic! It's at Sephora.

I have curly hair what should I do?

me too, i have the same prob. as you...

but i enjoy to be like a "crazy" ....tho= =""

haha

I have curly hair what should I do?

GO to a store and buy garnier fructis shampoo and conditinor they both work

I have curly hair what should I do?

I have thick curly frizzy hair as well and I recently found this stuff called from john freida. It's a special conditioner called damage relief. My hair doesn't have the much damage, but if you leave this stuff in for a minute (I do it while i'm shaving my legs), rinse it then put in some normal conditioner my hair feels like silk!!

To make my hair less frizzy once I'm out of the shower I use garnier frutis smooting milk. It doesn't make your hair crispy like gels do but it keeps those curls togather and doesn't make them frizz.

Hope I Helped

I have curly hair what should I do?

OMG. If you are like me, you need a straight jacket to control your hair. My hair is dry, frizzy, and yes my mom forgets about the thing called a haircut. I have found that the best thing to do is to use alot of conditioner when you're washing your hair. As soon as you get out, douse your hair with AUSSIE SPRAY LEAVE IN CONDITION. It acts as a detangler and helps with the frizziness. After you have combed your, hair, styling gel would really help. Also, DO NOT USE A BLOWDRYER UNLESS ABSOLUTLEY NECESSARY. It makes your hair grow another three inches in volume.

Hope your situation is better. I know how you feel. LOL

I have curly hair what should I do?

get hold of an intensive conditioner and leave it in for a good twenty minutes or so, the longer the better. then after you've washed that out, comb through with serum (or something similar) while it's still wet.

i have curly hair too, and the trick is a good conditioner. because curly hair is naturally dry, seek products for dry damaged hair. it needs plenty of nourishing and good care.

I have curly hair what should I do?

Depends on your age if you are old enough to drive, take yourself to the Salon... but if you aren't old enough to drive and since your Mom won't take you to the Salon, try some DIY solutions to help the frizzies...you are lucky to have curly hair....anyhow, research on the Internet what to do for dry hair...maybe an olive oil, avocado or a mayo, (use Hellman's) treatment would help with the dryness and frizzies..

I have curly hair what should I do?

If you have curly hair like me I have a suggestion for the holidays I think that you should wash your hair, condition it real good matter of fact leave the conditioner in all night rinse it out in the morning the very next day. After all that blow dry your hair then use one of those plug in flat irons and straighten your hair! That will be so cute!=)

I have curly hair what should I do?

i have the same hair my hair is frizzy, tthick and its always dry.if you get it layered then it will be a lot thinner. and its expensive but i use matrix/sleek.look/smoothing system steps(shampoo, conditioner, styling creme, and sealing serum) it makes my hair a lot softer and the sealling serum makes the frizz go away...

I have curly hair what should I do?

go to a beauty salon and ask for curly hair supplies. trust me it works!

I have curly hair what should I do?

Sunsilk for frizziness,

Shampoo for your texture.

I have curly hair what should I do?

Use some king of grease or oil. I like African Pride prouducts. And between trips to the salon have someone braid your hair. (Hopefully you know someone who knows how to braid and cornroll) If you can't get it braided then ware it in ponytails.

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

My hair is long and curly. I'm kind of sick of always doing the same things. (1) combing through when wet, add a bit of mousse/gel and let dry naturally, (2) tying it in a high ponytail with a handful of hair left hnaging there on the right side (i part my hair a bit to the left. What else can I do...? I might trim it a bit to get even more curls (not that i don't have enough already.. ;D ) but i'm not rreally sure I want to colour it either because I get so many compliments on the naturel red already. Any tips??

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

Yeah, don't dye it. You're color sounds real pretty. I have curly hair also, and I do get sick of the same hair do always. When that happens I take my straightener and straighten it. I can then wear it down and it multiple different ways and it's not as bothersome as curly can be. And I only wash it like every 4 days so my hair stays straight till I wash it again, and that isn't so damaging.

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

ok so why don't u switch up the curly style for straight and add some long layers in it? or even some nice natural looking highlites?

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

i LOVE LOVE LOVE natural red hair there is NO WAY you could look better if u color it!!!! but my hair is curly too and i straighten my hair so it isnt as curly or just leave it down like you naturally would and you can ask you hair dresser/stylist for ways to do it differently

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

I have long curly red hair too, and i use moose every day. I got my hair layered and that really brings out my curls. Just be sure to not get it cut too short or it will give you a fro!!

good luck!

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

I have the same problem. But I remedy it by layering some of the top and sides. Not like cheezy 80's feathered hair, more like Jessica Simpson. I like to mix it up a bit. It looks nice when you put some Rusk smoother in it, then a moose or gel and then John Frieda "Shine Shock leave in glosser" then let it air dry your hair will sit better no matter where you part it. Next day I take my curling iron, not a flat iron, and straighten around the roots, pull straight down and curl back up on itself about half way up the length of your hair. And it is time consuming, I curl all of my hair piece by piece but believe me the look is so sexy and soft that you will have compliments no matter who you talk to. Now as far as your color is concerned, I am not an advocate to dying your hair, but sometimes it is necessary. So depending on your skin tone, if you are fair skinned, I would recommend some lighter red highlights. If you are medium skinned you can pull off some low lights with a darker red or even a medium brown. If you are olive complected or darker, I recommend bringing in a light blonde to accentuate your face.

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

*you can put it in a messy bun with curls coming from it

*also in a low pony tail to the side with a flower on the scrunchie

*half pony tail

*braid

*bobby pins holding a few curls at the side of your head when its down (dont really know how to explain it)

hope that helps

Long Red Curly Hair.....!?

I can feel you here because my hair is also red and naturally curly and comes down to my rump. What I do is try different parts--zigzags, whatever. I also alternate between blow drying my hair straight or creating waves. Sometimes an up sweep hairdo is lovely also. Whatever you do, don't start coloring until you've got some grey. If you want strawberry highlights that's okay but nothing major and always have it done professionally. We redheads have unpredictable color sometimes--we don't have the same results as blondes and brunettes with over the counter hair color.

Now if you want to dry your hair straight use the cool setting. When your hair is 80% dry (it looks dry but feels damp) start using a paddle brush while you blow dry to make it straight. Use a product like Biolage gelee to make it "set". Make sure to point the nozzle down on your hair instead of sideways or you'll create frizz. Finish with Redken Glass and a very light mist of Biolage hairspray for shine and hold. To achieve wavy hair, do the same but instead of using a paddle brush you can scrunch your hair with your fingertips OR fall asleep with your hair loosely braided for lovely summer locks.

Straihgt hair or curly hair?

do teenageguys like girls with straight hair or curly hair??

Straihgt hair or curly hair?

straight hair on teenage girls make them seem insecure and 'following the crowd' therefore guys like girls with straight hair because they are insecure and are 'easy'.

curly hair is way better. you can be yourself and dont look so insecure. its good if your hair isnt blonde as well, adds to the insecurity factor.

Straihgt hair or curly hair?

I think it depends who. Everybody likes different things

Straihgt hair or curly hair?

I'm not a guy but I personally like strait hair

Straihgt hair or curly hair?

I guess i'm the first guy here but definetely straight hair. I dislike curly hair very much. BTW, i'm a teenager 2.

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

MY hair is curly, do you have any suggestions on hair products that prevent flyaways or frizziness. Something that will keep the curls all day. Thanks!

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Aussie's Mousse + Leave-In Conditioner. I scrunch it in after my shower and let it air dry. It doesn't weigh my curls down and it makes my hair REALLY soft. The best thing about it is that it doesn't make my hair crunchy. (I hate crunchy hair) After it's dry just run your fingers through your hair or scrunch it up and the crunchiness will go away, leaving soft bouncy curls with NO FRIZZ.

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

shears

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

i havent tried this but i have heard a diffuser works well with curly hair...get a diffuser and some mousse and use a little bit of gel

put some mousse and a little gel on damp hair and dry with a diffuser...

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

biolage by matrix. They have a curl defining creme, keeps your hair soft. I hate crusty hair! lol

drugstore.com carries it if you cant fine it at a salon

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

I also have curly hair and am using

( garnier fructis )

has wonderful hair products.

also buying a CHI will help to wear straight hair on special occasions.

click on the links below to find out more info.

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

well i have curly hair and i like using bed head products "curls rock " is the name of the product #5 its creamy and u just rake it threw your wet hair and use a diffuser if u use a hair dryer

I have curly hair, any suggestions on hair products?

Garnier Smoothing Milk is the best I've found. It's really light, and I barely notice that I have anything in my hair at all. No frizzies or fly aways all day long.

They also have a line of Sleek and Shine shampoos and conditioners. It's really worked well for me. I hope it does for you as well.

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to

I have naturally curly hair but it's very long and so I tend to find I have a bell bottom effect, curly at the bottom and no volume at the top. I have had layers cut in but then I only end up wearing it straight. Would really love to leave my hairdryer and straighteners at home for my holiday, can anyone recommend really great curling products/ shampoos. Has anyone tried the John Frieda curl shampoo/ conditioner combi??

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

My hair is afro and quite difficult to style most of the time! I have used John Frieda and it's quite good. I didn't have much look with the shampoo as I thought it was too strong. The conditioners are good and so are the styling products especially if you start off with the serum. I didn't know they had a 2-in-1 sham/con so can't comment on that one I'm afraid. There's a John Frieda conditioner that I'm using at the minute which has left my hair so soft and manageable. It's the 'Curl Around style-activating daily conditioner'. It's not too rich but helps to dfeine the curls especially if you use the mousse afterwards.

I also use Umberto Gianini products. They have a great gel 'Scrunching Jelly' which holds the shape, smells great and washes out easily. The Body Shop has a honey conditioner which is really good as well.

You can buy trial size bottles of most products so you could always take a selection. Give your hair a deep conditioner before you go and make sure you protect it from the sun/elements. I hope I've helped a little! Enjoy your holiday!

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt... use it on your hair when it's still wet and then allow to dry naturally or dry with a diffuser. I used to use confixer by aveda, but the paul mitchell product is a lot cheaper and does an equally good job :)

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

Well maybe you should talk to your hairstylist abut some prouducts right for your hair, but maybe you should use Herbal Essences or maybe Sunsilk would be good for volume. There are probally very many curling shampoos just find the one you like.

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

I absolutely swear by Trevor Sorbie Curl Cream. Its the one and only product out of all the ones i've tried that actually seems to make my hair go into nice curls.

i wash my hair using any old shampoo and conditioner (pantene/tresemme/herbal essences) . Brush hair through, use about a 50p squidge of cream (my hair is about to my bra strap so alter amount accordingly) rub it between your hands and then run hands through your hair. Part your hair however you'd normally wear it and leave to dry naturally. This does wonders for my hair!

Sometimes I have to blow dry or clip back my front bits because I recently grew out my fringe so the front bits aren't long enough to curl and just stick out.

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

Hello,

I sympathise with you as I am in the same boat! I have spent the last 2 years having my hair relaxed so it would straighten easier, layers cut in and have now had it cut shorter into a bob -- but still get that baby fluff frizz all the time!

I have tried lots of different products for curling (and straightening) without a whole load of success even those recommended by my hairstylist. The suggestion to try the small bottles may be worth a go but I find it takes my hair a while to get used to a new shampoo. Not alot of help I know good luck! and re post if you find a success!

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

I use all the john freda products i.e frizz ease serum, shampoo conditioner. The best thing for curly hair is gel and not mousse, mousse will have a drying effect. Best to use gel and leave to dry naturally.

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

There is a line of shampoo %26amp; conitioner called "Marc Anthony Curl Defining Shampoo or Conditioner." It has a great lemony scent without being too over-powering. It works really well and conditions.

After you get out the shower/bathtub, what you need to do is rub some leave-in conditioner throughout your hair. Leave it sit for a minute or two, then comb your hair with a wide brissle comb or brush. (Never comb cnaturally curly har while it's dry! Believe me, I know!)

After combing, take a dime to a quarter size amount of Garnier Frutis Soft curl Cream and scrunch in through your hair. (You show have you back bent forward, and head facing the floor, and scrunch your hair upward toward your scalp.)

Let your hair air-dry a bit, and spray either hairspray on your curls, or a curl defining spray like Alberto V05 "give me curls" hard spray.

I hope that helps! :]

I am in the same boat as you, but i have short curly hair. i normally use Aveda's Be Curly Curl Enhancer, all you have to do is wash your hair normally and apply afterwards....it works great.

Naturally curly hair, want to ditch the straighteners for holiday, best cut/ and curling products to use??

i would suggest pantenne purfect curls shampoo, conditioner and purfect curls hair mousse, they are fairly cheap and of proffesional quality. atleast give it a go, i recomend it! ;D

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;I Have curly hair and i need help!%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;?

I don't know much about black/white culture curly hair, but I love to share tips! It's taken me 29 years to figure this one out. First thing I've learned is that curly hair is naturally dry so you have to buy moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. Never brush your hair when it's wet or you'll mess up the natural effect of the curl. My personal trick is to pat the dripping water out with a towel, and hold it back in a clip while I put on my make-up. When I'm ready to dry, I add a good amount of extra holding gel (depends on the length) and blend it evenly throughout with my fingers. I have to use a diffuser on low heat and keep my hair upside down (this helps add volume). It takes forever to dry, but I've learned that the slower it takes to dry the better. Once it's dry I mist with a frizz fighting hairspray and scrunch it.

If your still stuck, try to ask hairstylists that have naturally curly hair to give you more tricks. It's frustrating, but once you find that balance, you'll be so much happier with managing those curls!

Help with hairstyles/hair for mixed teenager with curly hair?

im 14. im mixed. and my hair is natrually pretty curly.. but on weednesday im getting my hair relaxed %26amp; cut.. and i want to get layers and like my bangs done good and right... but would they be able to do that/make it loook right because of how curly my hair is? after i get it relaxed, im going to keep it straight pretty much all of the time.. and i have CHI straightner..

i dont know!

this is my hair straight- http://a833.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

and then curlyish-- http://a895.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

so.. im guess im asking... would layers look okay/work right on me? and my bangs done good?

or does anyone have any other good pictures, or suggestions?

Help with hairstyles/hair for mixed teenager with curly hair?

hi! i am mixed also, and i went in for a relaxer and my stylist made sure that i knew what i was getting myself into before she put those harmful chemicals into my curly hair. and i'll tell you rite now, after what she told me i just gave up on getting a relaxer and now i just stick to straightening it with a flat iron. there is nothing wrong with getting a relaxer but just make sure u kno wat u r doing b4 u get one. think long and hard about it, bcuz curls are a blessing. And to answer ur question, yes i dont see why it wouldnt look rite if u got ur hair layered and cut, but would u really want to give up ur curls 4 ever?

Help with hairstyles/hair for mixed teenager with curly hair?

Because your hair is not that long, I would wear it straight until it grows out and then wear it curly. Yes I do think that bangs and layers would look good on you but be careful how much they cut off.

Is curly hair still considered fashionable or attractive?

Has curly hair become old fashioned and outdated, and less attractive than smooth straight hair?

Is curly hair still considered fashionable or attractive?

Curly hair is never outdated or unattractive, so be proud of what you've got. If you ever feel insecure about it, know that if you wear anything proudly, your confidence will make you sexy. So wear your curly hair confidently.

Is curly hair still considered fashionable or attractive?

it depend how curly it is if it insane curly then no but if its not that much curly then its cute

How to make straight hair curly and wavy?

i have some what straight hair. right now to get curly hair i put my hair into braids and let it dry in braids and then undo the braids to keep the curls. is there anything that would make all my hair curly not just the part in braids?

How to make straight hair curly and wavy?

Well, just about every night I sleep in curlers, and everyone always compliments me on my hair and think that it is natural.

I use the medium sized sponge rollers from Wal-Mart and put them in when my hair is just barely damp(if you put them in while your hair is even kind of wet it won't be dry by morning). Each section I roll is about 1 inch long, before you roll each piece, spritz the last 3 or so inches of it with hairspray and roll it before it dries.

In the morning when you take them out your hair will be bouncy and curly and will stay that way all day.

How to make straight hair curly and wavy?

Curling iron works, but doesn't last as long as sleeping in curlers all night. Report It

This sounds kinda weird but if u put egg whites in your hair and chunch it with your hand while using a blow dryer..it only takes a few mins and your hair is perfectly curly..but be sure not to leave any yellow of the egg!My hair is always straight but wen i want it curly i do this!:) Hope it helps! 1.)Wash your hair 2.) Wait to dry for 5-10 min. 3.) Take Mousse and start to scrunch while blow drying 4.)After hair is almost dry, take hair spray. Spray it all over and take about 4 inches of your hair and scrunch it up, then spray hairspray on that part, let go, and continue on another piece. Report It

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

I have wavy curly hair, and I want it to grow out to something like this:

http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image...

This is my hair:

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/922/h...

(it's not as messy as it usually is because i just got out of the shower)

So, my question is, is it possible for me to get hair like that? What do i need to do to get it that way? How long will it take?

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

You need to let it grow out long enough so you can start using a flat iron on it. That will make it nice and straight.

Also, after you get out of the shower, you should use the hair dryer on your hair combing it straight and in the direction that you want it until its completely dry. It may still have some frizz so that's when you get out the flat iron and smooth it out.

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

you would look retarted with your hair like that just grow it out long........

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

Your hair is not yet long enough for that style. You should wait a little longer until it's grown out. Hair like that for you is possible, you will have to seek professional hair stylists for it thought. And it won't stay like that, you will need to buy products. Things are never easy, right? ;)

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

maybe get it chemically straightened, and maybe get some fizz control, leave in conditioner

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

All you need to do this is to cut your dead ends frequently. Grow out hair and use hot oil treatment to add shine to your hair. Use a wax texturizer and weightless hair spray. You can rock like that model.

Cheers!!!

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

i like all types of hair

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

You seriously will need to purchase a good quality straightener appliance and use a hair straightening serum. The difference between a $20 appliance and a $100 one, is how well and for how long your hair will keep straight! You'd probably also want to use hair wax, to create the piecy/spiky look in that picture.

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

Hi,you could try getting your hair thinned out a bit,ask the stylist/hairdresser/barber,if they can cut it so that it will grow towards the style you want then each time you go back they can gradually get it to how you want it.In the mean time you could use shock waves hair gel and shape it into that spiky fringed effect.

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

you can get (at a store) even at the doller store a thing that will straighten your hair for a while, it looks like a hair coloring box but its for straightening your hair, i hop eyou find it, its pretty usefull. wait till your hair is longer, idt its long anough yet ; )

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

that guy clearly used straightners...

Good conditioning, and trimmimg frequently will give you long hair, but your hair will not look as poker straight unless you blow dry it and/or use straightners on it, followed by some wax to style it.

Long red curly hair?

Can I get some recomendations on products or types of salons for long red curly hair. If i leave it down to curl itself, most of it curls but then i have some random clumps that go stick straight, or it goes frizzy. How can I control this hair?! That and what kind of cuts should I use? Most salons treat it like straight hair and just want to straighten it, but that just damages it. I can't cut it too short because I'm in the military and have to put it up in a bun. Can anyone help?

Long red curly hair?

When you have it down use TRESemme curl care. Put it in when your hair is towel dry. DON'T BRUSH IT that is the worst thing you can do. Get a shower comb that way you can comb it while it is still really wet and it won't mess up your curl.

Blow dry your hair after using curl care scrunch your hair as you blow dry, it works better. With curly hair get layers, long enough you can still put it up. That gives your hair more body.

Long red curly hair?

There are so many things you could do. The new shampoos they have out for the color of you hair will make your hair "pop" as for the curls Use a pick while your hair is wet towel dry and use some moose or frizzies and ask around for a good salon. Salons that tell you what kind of cut would be good for curly hair, not tell you it should be stright. layers would prob look great

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

I have mad curly hair and am getting a bit fed up. How does a hairdresser straighten hair permanently and does is do a lot of damage to your hair? Also how long before it starts curling again? I have tried straighteners but they don't make it last long even the GHD ones.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

Anytime you apply a chemical process to the hair you weaken it, especially if you indulge in multiple processes (straightening/perming AND coloring). Everyone wants what they don't have. There are women out there who would kill to have curly hair. Why not ask your hairdresser to help you with the best haircut %26amp; products to work with your hair, not against it.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

Read some hair straightening tips and more on this site to help you with it

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

It will not just go back curly, it will grow out curly if you go to the hairdressers. Assuming you have it relaxed that is (ie as a black person would).

I noticed today that Boots are doing a home chemical straightening kit now, maybe that might be worth looking at.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

Vaseline worked for my sister about 40 years ago. Thing is, she was 2 when she did that - did straighten her hair forever though.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

they will put in a straightening serum and it takes ages but in the end your hair will be straight. it does cause damage. but so do straighteners. it eventually grows out so you would have to keep having your hair striaghtened. but beware you'l never be as curly as you are now as it keeps your hair wavy if it grows out.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

yes, it is very damaging to your hair to straighten it chemically. Just learn to love the hair you have. Go to a GOOD hairdresser and learn some good tips on how to style your hair curly...also what products to use when you straighten your hair with a flat iron. Use a GOOD flat iron, such as a CHI...it's not cheap, but it's better for your hair and you will get it mich straighter and smoother. Also, make sure you use a good product to protect your hair when using a flat iron. Go to a beauty Supply or ask your stylist for a reccomendation. Also, using an Ionizing blow dryer will help straighten and smooth.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

boots now do a home straightening kit. i dont know how good it is. be carefull because you can only use them on virgin hair!!

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

You should buy a flat iron. I have curly hair and the flat iron has become my best friend for my hair. If you also use the right products you can straighten your hair and it will still look healthy. At a salon they will put a chemical relaxer in your hair to release the curls. That is fine for a bit, but I believe that it will do damage over time, and it may also ruin your curl (meaning it won't curl again for you). I say enjoy your curls, but get that flat iron for your hair. You will love it!!

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

hey ther.. I know all about uncontrollable hair..lol.. I have really static frizzy hair myself with some curls in it. Anyways, ive been working in different hairdresser salons and what im used to when people ask how they can remove their curls is to do it the same way as when u want curls.. just without the rolls.. They brush ur hair flat instead, and ur curls should ease down.. What u should do anyways, is ask in a salon where they see ur hair.. the quality and everything.. Then they decide whats the best thing to do.. .. What about a flatening iron???..

good luck anyways:)

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

They use the same solution as they would for a perm except they keep brushing it through instead of putting curlers in and yes it is damaging to your hair. My little sister had it done and it make it more frizzy than anything, it looked better curly than frizzy

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

There is no way to "permanently" straighten hair. It is curly because of the shape of the hair follicles and that is permanent. Hair straighteners are chemically very similar to perms, and thus can damage hair in the same way. How long it takes to start curling again depends upon how fast your hair grows and how long or short you keep it.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

I had a friend who had her hair chemically straightened at the hairdressers and it was damaged for years until it grew out so I would really avoid this! Your hair can be straighten first by washing and towel drying apply lots of Hair Mousse and blow dry straight as much as you can, then take hair in inch sections and straighten with the GHDs if you dont believe this will work go into any hair dressers and ask them to blow dry your hair dead straight and you will see it can be done - good Luck!

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

http://www.gorobar.com/index.asp

this is a really good site have a look !!!!

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

You have to do it permanently, they use a cream from your roots out to your ends and then wash it out. You have to redo your roots from time to time as you hair grows out and get treatments done so you don't get damage.

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

People with baby-fine straight hair live their lives fed up with their straight hair too... Everybody has hair issues.

Enjoy your curly hair. Make the most of it. Keep it nice and healthy. Isn't there some conditioner or other product like that that would make your hair easier to deal with without damaging it?

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

As far as im aware you can put a straightener on which is basicaly a perm and keep combing it through. It'll do the same damage as having your hair permed if it was straight. It'll last till your roots start getting longer usually 4 to 6 months.I was a hairdressers apprentice about 20years ago but left cos the pay was rubbish. Hope this might help

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

use Remington straightener.......and use moisture hair anti frizz serum

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

As a Licensed Cosmetologist, I recommend you see a professional to get a consultation, because before anyone can give you advice they NEED to see your hair to tell you what may be good for your hair, as you know every individuals' hair is different.

I can tell you the process of you hair getting chemically straightened though.

The chemical used is called a Relaxer and is used to "relax" your natural curl pattern to as straight as you would desire.

This chemical is applied to your hair from root to end (not in that order) and as it enters your hair cortex (inner most layer of hair strand) the cross bonds (sulfur and hydrogen) are broken. The action of the comb (or hands) in smoothing the hair is distrubuting the chemical while it straightens the hair.

After hair is at it's desired straightness and is rinsed out at the sink, a Neutralizing shampoo is applied and it's job is to sopt the action of any chemical relaxer that may remain in the hair after rinsing. (A second Neutralizing shampoo may be necessary to bring the hair down to a normal ph since the relaxers' ph factor is between 12 to 14, and any normal ph is at level 7)

After the Neutralization is done the hair needs to be conditioned. Your hair is towl blotted and conditioner is applied to offset the harshness of the sodium hydroxide in the relaxer and to help restore some of the natual oils to the scalp and hair.

Styling: Relaxed hair is in a weakened condition. To avoid hair breakage, excessive heat and excessive stretching should be avoided. Blow drying and Thermal/flat iron curling can be used but at a strict minimum. I recommend getting a roller set since the hair dryer blows out even heat and the style lasts longer.

This chemical is called a permanent because the hair that we can see will be permanently changed, but the hair that has yet to grow will grow out and your natural curl will return. And that all depends on how fast your hair grows but usually this process lasts for 6 weeks before you need a touch-up. ( A touch up is having the same chemical relaxed applied to only the new growth/roots of your hair). This chemical is also used in Texturizing the hair, only it is not left on for 20 minutes as a full process would be, but only for 7 minutes max. and a comb is not used, just hands. and the texturizing process is not to straighten but just to loosen up and relax your natural curls to make them more manageable and less frizzy and tangled.

I hope this info helps and please keep in mind that whatever you do to your hair can be damaging (whether it be sitting in the sun or using a flat iron). It all depends on how well you take care of it. Remember hair is alive and it needs to be nurtured just as much as your body.

Happy hair!

Permanently Straighten Curly Hair.?

Ask your hairdresser about chemical straightening. I had it done and would definitley recommend it. Your hair is sectioned off and the chemical is spread onto your hair with a brush. It takes about 3 hours depending on the length of your hair. Mine cost 鎷?5. It was so much easy to manage and sooo much easier to straighten.

Thin curly hair?

I got my hair cut 2 months ago, and got it thinned out A LOT. So I straighten it everyday, but I'm kinda killing it. I want to wear it curly, but it doesn't look right. Is there anything I can do so it won't look weird? I don't want to keep damaging my hair. My ends are already split, and basically dead. Some help would be nice. And some ideas to make the ends healthier would also be nice!

Thin curly hair?

Well first off stop straightening it and cut it into a shag and show off those pretty curls

How do you tame really curly hair?

i have very long, really curly hair. my problen tho is not the length or the curls its that i cant keep my hair from going all fuzzy and bushy when its loose.

i'v tried conditioners and waxes and all sorts of strange things. because my hair is also very thick i always leave in my conditioner otherwise i cant brush it. i was even told not to brush my hair because its so thick and curly but that was just a horrible mess!!

how do i keep my corkscrew curls in place?

now that its winter i'd love to wear my hair loose more often but cant because it always looks like it is trying to attack the person next to me.

How do you tame really curly hair?

I had extremely curly and unruly hair as a child. My mother gave me dog brushes to use to comb my hair in the morning as only strong brushes would make a dent in my curls. When I became a teenager I learned more about hair. Hair is made up of protein. When heat is applied to protein it can be shaped. If this is done regularly and over time, hair can be trained to lay in any direction you like. A hair dryer or curling iron and a good strong brush, preferably from a beauty supply store, is what is required. It took me a year to finally train my hair to lay where I wanted. I am now able to just brush my hair right out of the shower without using a hair dryer. Just be aware that although heat will train your hair it can also damage it. Regular use of conditioners and occasional use of cholesterol will help fix any heat damage. Good luck!

How do you tame really curly hair?

How do you tame really curly hair?

I love curly hair. No need to tame it.

Frizz Ease by John Frieda. The purple one is extra strong!

How do you tame really curly hair?

Honestly, you can maybe get some advice here, but none of us can see your hair. My first thought is to go to a professional, a nice salon, something like that. Then ask the hairdresser there, what the best plan for your hair would be. Maybe just cutting it differently would help too, or maybe they'll have some good ideas, because they really know what they're doing.

In any case, best of luck. ^_^

How do you tame really curly hair?

never ever brush your curls out! if you brush out your curls, your hair will just get even more and more frizzy. But if you really need to fix up your hair, try just maybe using your hands as a sort of brush...getting rid of tangles etc.

when you have newly washed hair, its best to leave your hair to dry naturally...and always make sure you use lots of conditioner to reduce the dryness and frizzy bits.

How do you tame really curly hair?

I have exactly the same problem and unfortunately i've never found a cure. If i wear my hair out i straighten it, usually though I find it too inconvinient to wear out (it totally gets in the way). I don't shampoo my hair at all and it helps a bit, shampooing just makes it puffy and stupid, its already shiny i don't even need to shampoo. Try just going without washing it for a while, see if that helps you a bit. Good luck if you live in a humid environment like me, you'll need it. I recently visited a much dryer place and my hair was very nice, the humidity though..aaaahhh!!

How do you tame really curly hair?

In my 1/4 century of curlyness I find the enemies to be dryness and missing a good combing. At all times have moist (not wet) and well combed hair.

Creative haircuts lots of fine-tooth combing hairbrushing tying the suckers down at night and salon quality hair gel (no alchohol). Thats what I do now. Make sure the gel gets everywhere not just the surface. (Fine-tooth comb helps here)

You coud try an afro-american store, they have 'treatments' which are really strong chemicals that break down the 'curliness'. The longer you leave the 'treatment' in the straighter the hair gets but if you quickly wash it out as soon as you put it in you wont end up with any damage or over straightening. The hair gets less curly but more managable and it begins to learn whos boss. After a few months of the treatment it stays manageble for fear of future 'treatments'. Pavlovian conditioning for hair.....

How do you tame really curly hair?

You can try a perm.

How to make my hair curly for a day at least ??!?

ok you need some curling mousse (VO5 works best) and a hairdryer with a defuser.

1.after washing your hair towel dry it and comb it, then apply a golf ball sized amount of mousse in your hands then spread evenly through the hair.

2. using your hands scrunch up your hair lots.

3. using the defuser on your hairdryer sit down and make your head almost up-side down then use your hairdryer to scrunch up your hair, do this till dry.

you might want to put some frizz ease in you hair after if its frizzy.

p.s make sure its CURLING mousse

p.p.s a defuser is a big round thing with pointy bits in it that attaches on to a hairdryer.

hope your hair goes curly!

How to make my hair curly for a day at least ??!?

braiding it will help wave it

How to make my hair curly for a day at least ??!?

I have slightly wavy hair as well , i used to make it curly my washing my hair, letting it dry naturally for about half an hour then putting it in a bun( while it is still a little damp) I also noticed the shorter my hair is, the easier it is to curl . Dunno if it will work for you tho it is worth a try i guess .

How to make my hair curly for a day at least ??!?

I have dead straight hair. I use Flexi curls, they are heated so they work great and the curls hold good too.. I use a hairspray before and after i curl it and it holds most the night when i go out.

I found the fudge brand hairspray holds the best for me

How to make my hair curly for a day at least ??!?

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

how come my hair wont get curly when i curl it it wont work why? is it me or my hair type?I really want curly hair but it wont work on my hair why is that happening??

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

i dont know that wont happen to my hair too.i try a lot but my hair doenst curl but i like straight hair so but i also like curly hair

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

I have the same kind of hair, it won't curl, and if it curls a little, then as soon as I go outside it all comes out.

You need to get a perm, talk to the hairdresser about what kind, she may suggest just a body perm, it makes it so easy to just use a curling iron for a few seconds on each curl. Unless you want curly hair then they can give u a curly perm.

I always keep a perm in my hair otherwise its a stringy mess. I have very fine hair also.

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

You could be not using the right styling products before curling. Some things you need is mousse, hairspray and serum.

It could also be your hair type. Thin, fine hair tends to curl a lot easier than thick hair.

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

i have never heard of a girl that has curly hair that didnt wish that she had straight hair, you are lucky

How come my hair wont get curly when I curl it??

Sounds like your hair is like mine... What I do when i have to curl my hair,(for any occasion) is I hairspray my hair just a little bit( not a lot or your hair burns really quickly) then as soon as it's curled, spray the strand again. If even this doesn't work for you, spray it quick while it's on the iron. Try not to do that though, and if you do, clean the curling iron afterwords. Another thing that works well for me is either hot rollers, (for quick curls) and soft curlers(for if you have no time.) The best thing to do for these is to spray the strand as soon as you pull it out of the roller. Oh, and you can't forget that if you are sleeping on the soft rollers, make sure that your hair is actually wet, or it won't curl.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

What's hotter on a girl with dark brown hair? curly or straight hair?

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

girl do what u want with ur hair. bsides if ur hot it dont matter if ur hair is curly or straight.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

I like straight hair.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

I have curly blonde hair, and I straighten it,,,,,,,I think brunettes look good no matter what,,,,,

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

It doesn't matter what color hair it is, curly is hotter.A girl with long curly hair has to be the "hottest" hair style.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

i'm not a guy- but i've found when i leave my hair naturally curly- it attracts more men.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

am not a guy but want to answer...

if u usually wear it straight go curly on odd occasion, i usually have straight air, one day didnt have time to straighten went to work with it curly, i only do so bout once a month and was told my hair looked really nice from quite a few people, as they dont see it that way so often it made them take notice of how nice it was even more...

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

It really depends on the mood the guy is in. Sometimes straight is great, other times curly gets the motor running.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

you talking about on the head, right?

i agree with wavy to straight. real curly no good, unless it is au natural.

ponytail through the back of a baseball cap is good.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

Straight. Lucy Liu style.

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

i will go with straight every time

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

straight or wavy... not curly or frazzled

Guys: Curly hair or straight?

Long and straight

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

I have curly hair, think Justin Guarini, but not quite. My problem is that its dry frizzy, flat, unmanageable, split ends. I want a nice curls that stands up like a good curly afro. I want body and lots of volume coz I dont like it when it hangs in front of my head. I want it to stand up and i dont wanna wear it wet. I have knots in my hair and now I have split ends too. My word!!! please help me if u know exactly what look i want. Im a guy by the way

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

By the sounds of it you need to MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE!

I have the same problem, except my hair isn't curly, more like dry and stiff.

Anyway, If you want to go fully into treating your own hair and not going to a hair stylist/consultant, which can be way spendy, I suggest the following.

Find a really, really good shampoo and conditioner. For your type of hair you can use store bought stuff like Garnier, Pantene, Tresomme, Mane %26amp; Tail.

If you have access to a beauty shop in your area, a large one, there is a brand of shampoo and conditioner call Prosperity. This stuff is so ultra-smooth and silk........if I could find it where I live I'd use it all the time.

Secondly, after you have washed your hair, you should leave the conditioner in your hair for awhile. There are a lot of leave in conditioners on the market, so choose the kind that is particularly for dry frizzy hair or for curly hair. Rinse it out and you should let it air dry....No blow dry. I'd say keep a comb pick with to detangle any curls you have that are super knotty and do this while your hair is still wet.

If you go and get your split ends cut, do it when your hair is mostly dry. That way you don't risk the chance of cutting off more than you want. Wet curly hair can be deceptive when you pull and cut it. It bounces back.

Throughout the week you should rub cream moisturizer into your curls. This keeps your hair moist and springy. To attain the kind of Afro that stands up, all you need is hair spray.....A LIGHT HAIR SPRAY. Nothing that contains a lot of alcohol because that will dry out your hair. To make it shiny, you can use oil sheen.

This may sound like a lot to do, but you got the kind a hair that you have to work with in order to attain a certain look. If you don't want to go through all of that, then the next suggestion is to dred it. I bet it would look awesome dredded and it super low maintenance.

Good Luck!

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

well honey my advice is to please go to the hairdressers, and ask them how you can manage it when their done, and how you can do the same thing they just did when your at home, plus the products.

Cheers!

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

1st off get those split end cut, this may leave your hair shorter than you want, 2nd while waiting at THE HAIR SALON, go through the men's hair design book and find a style you like then ask if their is someone specializes in this design, remember everyone there is getting there hair done also, mean while check this out :http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip...

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

try to make an appointment to see a hairdresser that can help you, but you should try PANTENE products, they are really good.....i should know, i use them, lol. good luck!!

Help with Curly/ afro hair please?

Start with a good hair cut, layers for your type of hair! Then maintain about every 6 weeks cut it again. After shampooing, apply a conditioner and rinse with cool water. Towel dry and apply about a nickel size gob of "Humectress" (leave in conditioner) with a couple drops of "frizz-ease" serum mixed into it. (Rub it onto your palms and smooth through out your hair.) For better curl definition, Apply Loreal curl definer by scrunching starting at ends of hair and working to the scalp.Works best when head is upside down while scrunching. That ought to do the trick!

Kinky Curly Hair?

Im in african american with kinky spiral curly hair. I keep my curls soft and moist with Right On Curl Activator. The only problem that i have is that i keep pulling out knots and tangles. I was wondering if there was a product that could get rid of them...

ps. i dont have to comb my hair regularly...so i dont.

Kinky Curly Hair?

My son doesn't have the kink but has the sprial curl and to keep it tangle free I use the Matrix Curl Life line. It keeps the curls, detangles, and doesn't dry it out.

Kinky Curly Hair?

Have you tried to wear your hair in twist. Like to two strand twist. on natural hair. You won't have to comb your hair every day so it takes away the daily stress you put on your hair. Leaving it to grow long and healthy.

Kinky Curly Hair?

hum interesting you dont come your hair often yet you have detangles. I wonder why. I need to come your hair everyday not be lazy. Yes suave kids detangler. Brush out your hair with bristle brush then use a comb over the comb hair to get all the tangles out.

Some products do create more of mess instead of improving a hair style that part of washing your hair daily

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

I have had VERY curly hair since before I was even 1 yr. old. I am 21 yrs. old now. My hair started to relax significantly, only about a month ago. I am not pregnant, nor have I ever been. What type of nutritional deficiencies could cause this? What are other reasons why my hair is going straight?

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

Hormonal changes are usually the cause of hair changing. Your thyroid could be acting up or you could be going through some physical changes you aren't even aware of. Are you gaining weight? Are you sleepier than normal, or moody? Probably all hormones. If you're concerned, call your doctor, and see if you need an appointment.

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

Hormonal changes as you get older.

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

Yes, it could be hormones. My son had perfectly straight hair (like me) until about age 12-13, when he started going through puberty. At that point his hair started getting curly and wavy (like his dad's).

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

The very same thing happened to me. I used to have curly hair, now it is wavy and a kind of striaght. I mostly blame it on the products in the market. Now, majority of products contain silicone. Silicone straightens hair. Also, my hair is much longer than it was before. That means more gravity and therefore, straighter hair.

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

Every 7 years your body goes though a change (transformation)

if you are in need of keeping your hair you have to do it now

Begin using NIOXIN NOW! dont use anything else and use the one for beginning stages

bbuy it from a salon not over the counter . The SCALP THerapy

(conditioner is heat sensitive becasue it is one of the only products that is "cold Pressed") when the product seperates its has no beneficial properties

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

hair goes through a change every 7 years, so being 21 yours is about due

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

The length of oyur hair might be doing it, the more hair you have the more weight so it relaxes the curl. Or using cheap shampoo and conditioner.

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

is it longer now than it was when you were younger? the extra weight could pull it down; that's what happens to my hair as it gets longer

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

boo... lucky you.. i wanted to have my straight hair that i was born with but it turn curly as i get older... very curly... =( if only we could exchange hair.. lol..=)

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

It could be several things, lenght of your hair, hormones, the products your using at home, and if you bleach your hair at home or in the salon, or if your on a crazy diet. it could be a combo of these things also.

I have curly hair but it is becoming straight, why?

It could be because you wear your hair up a lot. Hair is pretty adaptable.

How do i make my curly hair silky?

im a seventeen year old male..I have curly hair..kinda ...not too curly though ..i want to straighten up my hair without any damage(suggest some herbal methods if possible) and my hair is kinda half long :D so plsss suggest me a kool hair style which wud suit medium sized hair !!

How do i make my curly hair silky?

i use large curlers to "straighten" my slightly curly shoulder length hair. If your adverse to heat, which will damage your hair, use velcro rollers or old soda cans held in place with hair pins as your hair dries.

Use Jojoba Oil to "smooth" your hair. You can get it at a health food store or GNC. put a few drops ( or you'll get greasy hair) on your hand, rub them to warm it and gentle smooth it over your hair to smooth it after you take the rollers out.

I think guys in emo and pop-punk bands have cute long-ish hair. Do an image search and take the pic to your barber.

Very Curly hair... need a shampoo?

Hey chall.

I got very curly hair for a white guy, and I love it, but I hate using conditioner and love to let it get nappy, curly, and frizzy.

is there a product that can clean it but not take away that feel/look?

Very Curly hair... need a shampoo?

Matrix a professional line called:

SLEEK LOOK AND THEY HAVE CONDITIONERS IN CERTAIN NUMBERS ACCORDING TO TEXTURES.

WORKS WELL.

ANOTHER ONE THAT IS ON THE PROFESSIONAL LINE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE CALLED: NO POO.

ASK AT YOUR LOCAL SCHONEMAN'S BEUATY SUPPLY.

HARDLY HAS ANY LATHER AND THAT IS WHAT CAUSES FRIZZ.

NO KIDDING-IT IS CALLED NO POO!!!!!!!!!

Very Curly hair... need a shampoo?

garnier fructis curl and shine. plays up the curls, and smells delicious.

How do you curl curly hair?

My hair is curly, with loose curls, but it dosen't always stay in nice curls and it usually limps down. I want to do curls in my hair but how do I do it? Should I straighen my hair first and then curl it? Or is their a way I can curl it when my hair is in it's natural state? I've tried hair curling products that you use after you take a shower and etc. but I don;t want to know about any products. I just need to know how I can curl my hair if it already has curls.

How do you curl curly hair?

The largest curling iron ( 1 1/2 inch) for structured curls. Use on dry hair only.

It will give you big bouncy curls and volume, but it will sit nicely, not in different directions.

How do you curl curly hair?

i have the same problem someone awnser!!

How do you curl curly hair?

Umm... people don't usually curl curly hair. I say get a good hair wash and go to the hair dresser. That's the only one I'd trust with my hair.

You could get a perm.

How do you curl curly hair?

Just get spray gel and use a diffuser on your blow dryer.

How do you curl curly hair?

Just go with the natural ringlets of your hair with the curling iron to tighten them up

How do you curl curly hair?

STRAIGHTEN IT THEN CURL IT. IT MAKES IT ALOT LESS FRIZZY..YOU GOTTA USE HAIRSPRAY AND BODY MOUSSETOO..

How do you curl curly hair?

straighening your hair first and then curling it is always an option, and it is sometimes nice because then you can do different types of curls.

Out of the shower, (i know you said no products) but use a curl enhancing creme and put it in your wet hair. Use a diffuser on your blow dryer and your hands to work your hair's natural curls in to beautiful, bouncy curls.

Good Luck!

How do you curl curly hair?

Well. You could try taking the curling thinger and curl it the way it curls around the curler, and see if that kinda, works at all.. lmfao. my hairs realllly straight, and thin and short so i dont often curl it.. D:

How do you curl curly hair?

Use your regular shampoo and conditioner. Special shampoos can damage your hair sometimes. After you get out of the shower, dry your hair. Now, straighten it with a straightener. After that, use a curling iron to curl it. It's kind of annoying and time consuming, but that is how you get the best-looking curls.

How do you curl curly hair?

Pantene makes a really good "curly" line of products that's what I use and my hair has chemically relaxed and I still get really good curls when I use it. I just put it in right when I get out of the shower and scrunch it and it looks really good. Also if you haven't had a trim in a while you might want to consider it because I had the same problem it felt like my curls didn't want to hold and I got my hair trimmed and they looked phenomenal.

How do you curl curly hair?

I have curly hair as well. And I curl it all the time.

If you want a wet look use gel and apply it all over ALL over and then use hairspray and apply ALL over as well it will feel really gross at first but the end result is what I call Crunchy hair It looks really pretty

If you want dry pretty curls Use rollers. It wont always look pretty towards your scalp so I suggest you use a straightening iron to straighten out the top after wards use some type of frizz ease serum

experiment with different stuff and see what ya like! :]

How do you curl curly hair?

Take some of the natural curls that you want tightened up and take a curling iron that has a barrel about the size of your curls (tiny curls = like a 1/2 inch or so barrel, ect) and wrap your curl around the barrel (aka, don't take the barrel to the roots then pull the hair in it straight - just start at the end of the hair).

Hope that made sense and helped!

How do you curl curly hair?

blow dry your hair(doesnt have to be perfectly straight) and then curl it with either hot curlers or a curling iron

How do you curl curly hair?

Ahh it took me forever to learn how to curl my curly hair!

Remember less is more don't use a lot of products in your hair because it weighs it down and gunks it up.

Grab some Bio-silk or Frizz-ease a round brush (choose the size of brush according to the size of curls you want) and a blow dryer. It takes awhile but it makes your curls look awesome and have that CurlyQ look.

Take a section of your hair brush it out, the wrap it around the round brush.

use the blow dryer to just dry that part of your hair.

Once its dry and you unravel it from the brush its soft and bouncy and has a pretty tight curl

After you have your hair all done lightly spray it with a flexible hold hairspray or a glosser of some type to keep the hold and to keep the frizziess away and there ya go.

I hope my answer is not to confusing good luck! It works well for all hair types especially well for thick hair.

How do you curl curly hair?

I am a hairdresser and your question baffles me. First of all if your hair is already curly yet its limping out why not try some product to keep the curl in? Are you opposed to product? Or are you possibly asking how to go about curling your hair into a style instead of letting it take its natural course and be "no style" curls. The question of straightening your hair and then recurling it has me a bit confused as well. If your hair is an unmanagable curl ...why not blow dry it out some and use an iron to style it. Remember, product can protect your hair if you're flat ironing it and product can help curls to have retention if you're using a curling iron or hot rollers. I do hope this helped some.

How do you curl curly hair?

I have super curly hair and this item is what works in 2 mins %26amp; easiest for me....can't live without it. I learned that if I use a hairspray while the curlers are IN...they last longer. Also enables you to go straight the next day....Works if your hair has been dry all day, so either wash night before then curl in the morning.

Conair Ion Shine, Instant Heat Hair Setter CHV26IVR

Curly or straghit hair?????

this is hard 4 me cause i have really curly hair and luv it,but i luvv straight hair!!! :-P

Curly or straghit hair?????

Why not have both? Get a straightner! I have a friend that has the curliest hair I have ever seen and she straightens her hair sometimes. I loved to watch her straighten her hair, actually, amazed to see how her curls went from curly curly curly to perfectly straight! I bought the same straightener! It's Remington Wet to Straight. It has up to 20 settings on it so you can straighten your hair when it is soaking wet or when its damp or dry. I ABSOLUTELY love it!!! Cuts out the need for a blow dryer. Plus, after I use it, I use a sleek and shine oil to put the oil back in my hiar that the heat took out :)

Curly or straghit hair?????

Everybody loves what they don't have.

Curly or straghit hair?????

Stick to your Curly hair, Becaus forcing your hair into something it isn't will just levae it brittle and very damaged, and it is not worth the result at all, trust me. T

Curly or straghit hair?????

Why not both?

Curly or straghit hair?????

Curly is good if you don't like puff it out cause then you look like a puff ball. If you want curly use a curling iron. Straight is good also. Straight can get kind of annoying.

Curly or straghit hair?????

i think straight hair is hot

Curly or straghit hair?????

curly cause my sister has really curly hair 2 and it looks really good that way down and in a half pony tail but when she straitns her hair it looks awful down but not in a whole pony tail so it all depends on how u wanna style ur hair that day my sister usually keeps it curly and down
