Dying my curly hair crazy colors?

My hair is EXTREMELY curly. I was thinking about keeping the top layer of my hair brown but dying the rest a crazy looking color. Im more on the scene skater style if you know what i mean. Maybe a color like electric blue or purple. Or any other colors you'd like to suggest. Even maybe blonde. But i started thinking about it and do you think it will even look good?

starightening isnt an option..

if i permentantly do it it's to much money and it damages my hair to much.

If you are up for people staring at you constantly everytime you are out, then go for it.

I have a bright pink wig... I wore it once and I love how it looks on me (so does everyone else, I'm told). But I couldn't stand the constant stares I was getting...

Plus, bright hair doesn't look very professional... if you are up for people taking you seriously... like employers, etc.

I dyed all my hair pink once.

Let me tell you, it was fun, sure.

But the CONSTANT redying.

You would have to strip your hair of it's natural color now by using a bleach out kit. That will damage your hair really badly.

Your hair is really long and pretty.

Leave it alone.

Trust me.

You will regret it.

Hey there!

Any colour would work well - just choose your favourite! After all, it's only hair, you can dye over it/cut it/it'll grow back...so have fun with it!

With curly hair, if you're thinking of doing sort of coloured highlights or sections, make sure they're fairly large - smaller sections tend to get lost in the curls.

Just generally, I find if you're doing a "crazy colour", they look best with darker colours, so keep the top layer of your hair brown, but try darkening it with a demi-permanent colour like Natural Instincts one or two shades. As for your underlayer! Try anything! As a warning, though, Red is a very tough colour to dye over/get out of hair, so if you try that and tire of it, you may have to get a professional to change it for you!

But have fun! It's only hair, don't take it too seriously!

Good luck!
