Starightening curly hair?

I have naturally curly black hair and need to relax/straighten it? could someone please suggest some simple methods to do it at home and the products I can use? My hair is neck lenght, and although I used to get it done professionally In india, I havent been to a parlour here yet, how do I do it at home, I am looking for the permanent procedure. If I go to a salon, how much would it cost me? thanks for all the help.

I also have wavy/curly, frizzy unmanageble hair. I used to get my hair chemically straightened, (they use the same products for a perm but use straightening boards instead of curlers). That was until I came across a GDM (good hair day) straightening iron. The chemicals from the salon will really dry out your hair and strip the oils that keep your hair looking shiny and healthy. The iron I think is the best option and invention for girls like us, and its so easy to use. You just put some conditioning treatment in your hair before you dry it and then staighten with the irons. Its fantastic. They are a little expensive but and least it gives you the hair that you want, leaving it managable and most of all healthy.

a Chi Flat Iron is one of the best on the market...ask your hairdresser for products to use along with your flat iron.

You really don't need a perm. You can use a straightening iron and a anti frizz cream(?) "Bio-Silk". You can buy a non expensive one, like Andis or a more expensive one like a Chi. It will only take about an hour to straighten but it should last you straight for about three days. Hope this helps, it does for me. :)

use hair oil, it's not the oil that we use for cooking, but it made just for the hair. You can find it in wallmart, maijor, wallgreen, and etc. it's usually in the hair product section beside the regular gel. I use all the time to do my hair style even though my hair is straight all ready.

my own advise to you: just before buying it, look at the ingredients and if it said "alcohol", don't buy it. Because sooner or later the alcohol may ruin your hair.

Permament straightening a waste of money and really damages your hair! Go get a chi iron it will be your best friend. I have the thickest curliest hair ever and nobody can tell I have that kind of hair when I have it straightened with my chi.
