Alright so I wanna try something different. I heard that if you braid your curly hair when it's wet %26amp; sleep like that overnight, the next day your curls will come out pretty. Does that actually work?

I have type "3A" curls, and my hair is pretty thick.

Well i have 3b- 3c hair and yes, if you braid your hair before you got to sleep (but you need to wash it first %26amp; then braid it %26amp; sleep on it) and it works.

If you braid your hair when it's wet, it only comes out wavy.

Which is pretty, since it's all uniform and whatnot, but it won't be curly.

After you've washed your hair get plates done in you hair and sleep with them in overnight then it should work i used to do it all the time it worked for me

if you braid your hair and let it dry. it may come out frizzy and more of a crimp in the morning. if your looking for gorgeous curls try scrunching or if you have lots of time use a curling iron and spray it with hair spray while on the iron. Or go get a perm it may be expensive but you wouldnt have to put any time or effort into it for a while

Yes it does work! That is about the same as my hair. I wash it at night, then put a serum in it. I braid it and in the morning it is manageable and pretty!

i do that a lot and if your hair is dry in the morning and you take out the braids, you wont have much frizz and you hair will be nice and smooth.

i have curly hair just like yours. when i braid my hair(i always do it in 2 french braids) and sleep on it, it comes out more crimped than curly. you have to be careful taking out the braids though. if you comb your fingers though your hair or anything like that, your hair will be frizzy and poofy. but its a very pretty style and i always get compliments when i wear my hair like that :)

I have 3A hair as well.....

I find that braiding it when it's wet leaves me with nice waves... but the hair closest to the scalp gets pulled tight when you braid it and that part of my hair looks REALLY WRONG after I've tried doing it.

Unfortunately, there is no way to correct this without washing and drying again.

Here are some things I like to do:

- Straighten it with a straightener

- Use a leave in Conditioner, blow dry it and then use a curling iron to curl my entire head... run your fingers throught it, add a shine spray and people will go gaga over it!!!

- Scrunch Gel into it while it's soaking wet, flip my head upside-down and dry it with a difusser.

The braid thing just doesn't work. Sorry :)

I have 3A curls and when I bread mine when its wet it comes out more wavy than curly which i like because its a change!
