my hair is very curly underneath like spirals and i love that but on top it is just wavy...i want to buy either one of these products to make my whole head the way it is on the bottom but i dont know which is best? can someone tell me or tell me another product they would reccomend? thanks!
Wavy/curly hair helpppppp!!!?
i had similar hair issues. and the problem is that the hair on top is longer than the hair underneath. so it is weighed down to the point that the curls straighten out. what you need to do it to go to a salon and ask for layers, and have to your hair thinned out.
it puts less weight on the curls which makes them form better.and really makes a world of difference.

get garnier fructis scrunching or curling mouse or spray and scrunch the top of your hair and it will become more curly =)

If your hair is very short on the top of your head it should get curly like the rest of your hair.

there is no way i have the same thing if you let your hair air dry, well at least for me it gets really curly but youll probaly never get the spiral curls on top, unless you get a perm =/

Everybody's hair is dramatically different, but normally us curly headed folk do better with layered hair. It gives the curls room to do their thing, so to speak. Here's some more tips:
1. Since curly hair is prone to drying out more than straight, you'll want to make sure you condition more than you shampoo. The added moisture to your hair will help add back it's natural bounce. I also use leave in conditioner to make sure the other products don't dry out my hair during the day.
2. While you're washing your hair, scrunch it instead of brushing or pulling the product out. Same goes for when you towel dry your hair.
3. You can also try using a moose or a gel and blow drying it (upside down) with a defuser. Although, this doesn't work for my best friend - she just adds gel and lets it air dry.
Every girlfriend I know uses a different brand so you'll just need to find the best one for your hair. Which product is best is only half the battle - you also have to learn how to treat it for its most natural results.
Hope that helps!

I have curly hair. I found the website www.naturallycurly.com and it's great! This site led me to the Jessicurl line. www.jessicurl.com Her products are amazing! My curls haven't looked this great in years.
I also follow the Curly Girl method.. by Lorraine Massey.
"Beginning with The Curly Gurl's Twelve-Step Program (Step Three: I will accept that the scalp and hair are two different entities with completely different needs, and I will treat them accordingly), CURLY GIRL is an illustrated how-to, support group, and tongue-in-cheek manifesto all in one. There are tips on shampoo (never daily), conditioners (use lots), drying, combing (only when wet and well-conditioned), styling, getting the right cut, and how to Heal Thy Hair after years of strong detergents and damaging blow-dryers. There are before-and-after photographs, Curly Cues, self-help tests, confessions from curly gurls, advice to take to your stylist. And for gurls seeking their inner curl, compassion and encouragement to let their hair break free-and to put the fear of frizz behind them forever. Because from now on there's no such thing as a bad hair day. "

My daughter's hair sounds like yours.. very curly underneath and just wavy on top. I'm converting her to the curly girl method and her hair is getting curlier. Once again, I can't recommend Jessicurl enough! Her products are wonderful, everything comes with specific instructions, she's environmentally conscious, she's a young woman who began her business out of her kitchen, and overall, she's a great person!
Check out the Naturally Curl site and Jessicurl. You'll learn SO much.
