depends on how you style it and put the color in. I used to wear midnight blue all the time: it was my fave.

You could take thick chunks and do them with semi permenant. OR go all over with a non permenant like Manic Panic. If you didnt like it it would wash out anyway. Since it would add depth to your color, you could make them lowlights and color the lower layers, might be a pain in the **** to do, but a neat look.

You only live once, hair grows, and you dont know til you try. Do it!

With short curly hair, i'd reccomend a more neutral and lighter tone. If your hair is this black. the highlights will look muddy and unclean from afar whereas a lighter color such as auburn will still add pizazz and spice, but will look cleaner and more professional.

You shouldn't highlight or dye your hair because I read somewhere that dying your hair can cause Alzheimer's later on in life.

i think you could, i think you could definately work that. i saw a girl once with shoulder-lenght curly dark hair with blonde highlights, but they were all throughout the "back/middle" of her hair, not on top, so they weren't tooo much. it was subtle, and it looked really good. i think blue would look really cool on dark hair. go ahead!

just make sure that the highlights are placed right, I'd go for the blue, good luck. If the curliness is the problem then invest in a straightener while your hair is colored.

You would probably have to bleach the parts you want highlighted or else the blue wont show too much but i think it will look great!

You could work it. In order for the color to show you need to bleach the area to be colored first or it won't show. Keep in mind that isn't a professional look, so if you're looking for a job it's not the right style.
