I would like to have curly hair?

Im a guy, right now my hair is about 1 1/2 inches long. Is it possible for me to get curly hair with short hair, or do i have to wait to get longer hair? What should i do to get curly hair?

theres a shampoo out there called curl and wash and it really work but i dont know if it would work on such short hair, but its only like 4 dollars at walgreens if you wanna try it.

id suggest a perm but you might have to wait until its at least 2 inches long.
