Can someone help me with my curly hair?

My hair is long, brown, and curly. I always put my hair up. Always. I want to leave it down but It always gets poofy when I go to school. Its fine when I'm at home. I don't want to straighten my hair and I don't want to use any hair products that will kill my hair(and the ozone). What can I do?

if oyu dont want to straighten it or use product, there litterally NO hope for your. Unless you blowdry your hair with a highpowered blowdryer with a brush attachement; I have the same problem as you. IT's probably the humidity or something in the air that makes your hair poof.

I use a chi straightener so it makes my hair perfectly straight. THen use sunsilk anti frizz cream, Dove antipoof cream and GOT 2 B shine spray. None of this damages hair OR ozone. But I ALSO use hairspray to help hold a style and keep it from poofing out, which doe shurt the ozone.

Another way to do it without straightening it is to wrap your wet hair all around your head, pin it there, and let it dry like that. Then let it down, it wont be perfectly straight, but it will not be curly. You have to make sure the hair is pinned TIGHTLY and SECURLEY to your hair, but i dont think this technique works to well. You can get it chemically straightened too, then no straigthening or poofying everyday!

use a serum in your hair. They do no harm the ozone.

wash hair..apply serum..let it dry naturally.

I'm pretty sure theres some type of hair mousse that won't hurt you're hair just look for it at sally beauty supply maybe. Run it all trough you're hair after a shower and it will stay like not frizzy and it will look sleek and you can leave it down!

Sunsilk Defrizz 24/7 creme is AWESOME. What I do is towel dry my hair and apply about a half dollar size dollop to each side of my hair. The I add about a nickel size dollop of garnier fructis curl care gel to each side and comb thru. Scrunch your hair and let air dry, your hair will be frizz free with gorgeous , bouncy, spiraly curls.

If it is super humid out or just in case I like to carry my 24/7 creme with me if I need to touch up on the frizz control

i know how u feel i have brown curly hair thts long too ! i just see wat its like in th emoring nd if i leave it down i bring a small hair brush to school! nd those shampoos for less frizzy hair only work for like the 1st wash its so annyoing

well today i just went to the supercuts and she said to like take a shower and then put shampoo and rinse and then put condictioner and leave it therre and dont rinse and then brush ur hair and then put hairspray and moose and like sconch it up and she said hairspray doesnt kill her hair i had that same question but gel does and it will stay

My hair is the same. I use a curling shampoo and conditioner like garnier fructise for curly hair. After I wash it I leave it wrapped in a towel for about 15 min to soak up excess water. Then I comb it out and turn my head upside down and shake it loose with my fingers. And then I use Vavoom forming gel (I get it at the salon) Its the only kind I have found that will control my hair but I have to use quite a bit since my hair is so long. Then I spritz it with curl boosting spray (Pantene is good) And it is in a pump bottle so no aerasol to worry about. I dry the underside of my hair with a diffuser a little to keep the wetness off my neck. Then I let the rest airdry. If you have bangs you can dry them with a round brush. I have nice spirally curls all day. And the products I use do not seem to damage my hair in any way. Good luck!

I have the same issue. I however used to straiten my hair until I noticed the damage it did. I have found an inexpensive way to have Less poof. If you live in the South or anywhere that it is humid it's almost a lost cause "sorry". If for some reason you do not live in a humid area I would try Aussies "catch the wave, Taming milk" It is not harmful to the ozone and not tested on animals. I noticed that gel and sprays just make my hair dry and crunchy. This product also does not dry out or damage my hair. In fact since I have stopped straitening it and using this product it's looking healthier and softer.
