to grow it out so it's alllong and very curly. but right now i still have the relaxed parts at the ends. i think my hair looks dumb because it's half curly from the roots and thendead straight at the ends. i don't like to spend a long time doing my hair because i am just too busy. therefore i don't want to spend a lotof time either curling the ends to match the top part or blowing out the top soit matches the bottom. what should i do? if i cut off the relaxed ends my hair will be quite short and i am not sure i will be comfortable with it that short. i don't think i look good with it all back in a pony tail and it's still too short to fit into one ponytail all in the back. what would you do?

I don't know if you are black, but there didn't seem to be any answers here for ethnic hair. Many people have had this problem before. Never again relax your hair. Be glad for what yo have. Now as for solutions:
1. Clip your ends, not all at once, so yo can keep some of your length. Clip it like every six weeks to get it back to the curly.
2. Straigthen the roots with a flat iron or hot comb
3. Wigs, weaves, and extensions. This can be easily done for less than $200, if yo go to a black salon.
4. DO NOT PERM YOUR ENDS, YO ALREADY RELAXED THEM, it will all break off.

I guess if given the options you just gave I would cut it, even if its short and doesn't look good for awhile it will be better in the long run.

Well, I think you should think if you want it straight or curly.
If you want it straight, the I suggest a flat iorn by ghd. They are very expenssive but they are worth it. Or you can try a new straightening gel. It may sound like it doesn't work but they do. (If you know how to shop).
If you want curly, maybe you should go all the way by getting a wavy pem. Ok, so your still young and your living with your parents and they say no. Well maybe you should brade your hair at night and sleep with them in or try curlers. It should give you very similar results as a perm once you tame it down with some water.
I really hope this helps. Hair can be very fusterating!

You can get one of those curling kit, from any grocery store shelves, curl the end of your hair and after a while when they grow longer you can get another haircut.
And now that you experienced it, never do that again, I think curly hair is very gorges and with all the gels and stuff like that, which is available everywhere you can make it even prettier.

The relaxed part is never going to be as curly as the curly part again. You are either going to have to straighten the curly part, curl the straight part or cut it.
Maybe you could check into a perm for the straight part?

velcro rollers.
get the size you need to wrap hair at least one time around it, but not more than 2 times with short hair.
blow dry to 85% dry, place rollers, spray with something like a curl enhancer or setting spray (spray gel maybe, if you already have it) continue to dry to completely dry and let cool before taking out rollers and finger combing.
