Is it possible for my hair to become curly if my dad's did the same thing?

my mom has straight hair and my dad has curly, but he had straight hair until he was about 16 or 17. my sister is 24 and has stick straight hair but inherited most traits from my mom's side and i got alot of things from my dad's side...is it really possible for me to develope curly hair?

Yes absolutely. My mom has curls and my father has VERY straight hair, or at least he did before he shaved it all off, anyway, I hate straight hair until i was around 13 then all of a sudden i got a haircut took a shower and BAMM curls i was like WHAT!?! I was very surprised I must say. But my sister desperately wants my curls and shes 14 now but you never know.

Definitely. You never know how hair is going to work. Sometimes it changes all on its own, for no apparent reason. Other times it changes with hormones or other things in your body changing: I know quite a few women whose hair became curly after having a baby or after menopause. However, if your dad's hair became curly at the age of 16 or 17, it's likely that yours will too so you won't have to wait that long!

unlikely, but it could happen. I had fairly straight hair but it was fairly curly (consistent loose curls) for about two years, and now it's just got funky waves and kinks (I have very fine fair). sometimes a haircut can encourage curl, or make it not-so-curly anymore.

It's possible, but pretty unlikely. (I take after my dad a whole lot and have his very thick, wavy hair, but his hair was always like that.) You'll just have to wait and see, I guess! :)
