Would layers look nice on me considering I hate blow drying my hair. I want layers cuz I feel like my hair is too heavy. Will layers lighten it and are they high maintence(AKA: Do they look weird if i leave my hair loose, do they look like a curly 3 tiered cake that's ugly?

I have long thick curly hair myself, Go for the layers but when you get them, if you like to wear your hair out curly ask your hairdresser to cut them long. I have found this to help prevent the tiered cake thing. The layers will definitely lighten the weight. They are definitely not high maintenance. Put some texturizer in, scrunch it and go air dry

My hair is very curly and just recently I got it cut into layers and its great. It will make your hair look more structered instead of one big bush and it will look like it has more volume and bounce. If you're still unsure, ask a trusted hair stylist.

it will give you more body, but go to someone who has alot of experience with long heavy curly hair, if you don't want to blow dry it, you will have to learn how to do it yourself, so that it doesn't turn into a frizzy mess...

don't just let anyone do it......you will need a very good cut, to have it look good....and to be able to manage it yourself.....

layers normally make your hair thicker, so if you want thin hair then you should probebly not get layers. There are many different kinds of hair cuts that you can get for what you want. when you go to the hair dresser, go a little earlier and look at their haircut magasines. Find something you like and ask your hair dresser to cut your hair like it is in the picture. Make sure you also explain to he/she exactly what you want. Hope I helped

Layers are great for long curly hair. I have curly hair too. Layers lighten up the weight and help it lay really nicely. Just make sure you go to someone who knows curly hair. If they don't, they may cut it too short because it shrinks up when it dries. Hope you like it!

With light layers it should be wonderful. That is how mine is, the layers blend, they are not choppy. With curly hair you do not want choppy layers. Mine is shoulder length with light layers and they blend together. I towel dry, run gel through it, and I am ready to go. It is soooo much easier. I love it. I will look to see if I have a picture so I can send it so you can see. Layers will thin to a point, but when they grow out some, it seems even thicker. I get the underneath of my hair thinned as well.
