you might try hairspray before and then after you curl your hair, this helped me in the past. Also don't comb it out, just fluff, shake and spray and go!

Hey u can get mousee called extra volume or extra curls or something like that. And/ or u could curl ur hair and get a pretty strong hair spray and spray ur hair after u curl it. U could also try rollers. They work great. Good-luck.

Is your hair very thick and heavy that's the question. If it doesn't hold with a curling iron, you can use Marc Anthony shampoo for curls, it gives it volume and then use the other curl products by him. Another thing you might want to consider is a perm, ask the hairdresser for a loose perm, very loose and if you then want to use a curling iron it will hold the curl.

You can set it with curling rods ie curlers using a setting lotion, when it dries you'll have curls.

you may have thin or naturally straight hair which won't hold curls well .i have extremely curly hair and it stays for a long time when i use a curling iron. products cant change your hair, so gel wont make straight hair curly unless you find an amazing product, but i dont know of any. you could try getting a perm? i dont think there are many other options that i can think of though.

here are some suggestions to get wavy/curly hair. i havent tried some of them, but i ve heard that they work-

curl with iron or rollers

put some hairspray in ur hair before going to bed and the tossing and moving will create random waves

braid ur hair and when u remove it there will be waves

put some defining product in ur hair and keep twirling it around ur finger. then, finger comb gently through to separate the waves

use sea salt spray or surf spray. sea salt will give really pretty beach waves

scruch it with gel
