So it's naturally curly, but the hair is not coarse/really thick, so heat styling damages the ends very easily. I hardly straighten it yet I blow dry it dry (instead of air dry) everyday because it does look better that way. But after some time, the turn a lighter brown color, and there's dry breakage that's obvious when I do straigthen my hair. Are there any good professional products that will help with/prevent the damage? I don't wanna cut it since I want longer hair.
If you have curly hair, dry and damaged..?
if the ends are dry and and breaking you are going to have to cut them off. you can't repair that kind of damage. if you want long hair you really have to think about how much you need to straighten and blow dry. you should always spray it with a heat protective spray before hand and save it for special occasions put a treatment in it weekly and when you brush it always start at the very ends and work your way up taking out the tangles as you go, use ties with no metal bits, brush it a couple of times a day to prevent knots and put heaps of conditioner in the bottoms, and only shampoo the scalp not the ends of your hair. take a silica supplement too that helps. my hair is past my bum and in good condition with no dry, pale brittle ends and this is what i do. i have never used a hair dryer

if you have split ends then you should trim it and it would grow faster and be way healthier

I couldn't really recommend what products would be great for your hair because it might react differently to products...
what I can give you is a website with all the chemicals we overlook in hairproducts that damage our hair.
Even though this was on an african american website, it still applies to all hair...
so when you look at the products you use, and you find more than three of them on the label, you should know when to toss them...
