i have really curly hair and i want side swept bangs. any suggestions? should i or shouldn't i? also if i straighten my hair, how do i get it to go into very loose, piece waves? thanks =)

Yes go for the sideswept bangs! Because they are easy to straighten and you could also blow dry. They aren't as much hassle as full bangs and make your hair look more styled.
To get loose waves, blowdry your hair then use a straightener on medium heat (if possible) and curl with them.
To do this, clamp them onto the top of your hair near the roots, twist and pull down.
If you can't alter the heat, just run your fingers through the waves once they are done.
You will probably want to use hairspray to keep it in place.
