Washing curly hair with only conditioner?

I read in a diff site that girls with curly hair should wash hair with only conditioner, and this will help with the dirt and natural oils just like shampoo. I've tried so many diff products, and I'm thinking about trying to wash with just conditioner. What do you think?

I don't think I would do that. Not on a regular basis anyway. Try washing it and using a leave-in conditioner to see if it will relax the curl and help with the frizz.

different hair responds differently to different methods...

I have stright hair, and washing with conditioner only didn't make any difference to me. But, i know other people who swear by the conditioner only method.

i too have curly hair, frizzy crzy curly hair, and i have tried only using conditioner, it gets rid of frizz and makes your hair smooth, but it weighs your hair down and makes it flat, so what i do now is, i shampoo and condition but when i condition, i leave in on for 6-7 minutes and rinse it out with cool water, it doesnt weigh it down but makes it shiny, sprnigy, and soft!

(i also straighten my hair and this way of conditioning eliminates split ends)

I would think that if you washed your hair with only conditioner, it would look really dirty if you didn't get all of the conditioner out.

well if u want my opinon i dont think soo cause like shampoo is the part that cleans all the bacteria and dirt out of ur hair and then right after u use conditioner and that is useful to make ur hair smell really good and to untangle ur hair and keep it nice smooth, shiny snd silky. but thats just wut i thought, maybe conditioner does work to, soo sorry if im wrong and didnt help u with ur problem :) k well bye

Well, I have curly hair, too, and I use both shampoo and conditioner. It really depends on the conditioner that you use. I read that too, and I tried it on different products. I found that if you wash your hair using only Brilliant Brunette conditioner or Herbal Essences conditioner, it didn't do anything different. In fact, I had to wash my hair more often because it made my hair get really oily.

I also tried using only In(fus)ium conditioner, and it worked marveously. However, I tried using In(fus)ium shampoo and conditioner, and it was even better.

So, I recommend using In(fus)ium shampoo and conditioner. You should be able to find it at any store.

But, it's a little bit expensive. ($6.49 a bottle)

Curly hair tends to be dry, so it is not reccomended that you wash it every single day. Washing too much stips your hair of its natural oils that help keep it soft and healthy, so it's a good idea to skip washing once or twice a week, but not every day. (My hair is curly, too.) If you only use conditioner every day, your hair will become very greasy and yucky. I like to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. That keeps it from getting too dry. About once a week I skip the shampoo and just condition it.

Another thing you can try is shampooing the roots every day and the rest every other. This might be a good idea if your hair gets oily quickly.

This is what you do get a 8oz cup fill it half way with vinegar and the rest with water pour it through your hair evenly leave it on for about 3 minutes the rinse it out. wash your hair and it will strip all the bad crap out of your hair. Add Cinnamon to it to hide the smell.
