How to not get poofy curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair. It is some ringlets but a little looser than that. When I shower and towel dry my hair I put gel, hairspray, and frizz serum in it and I just let it air dry. The first couple hours while nmy hair is wet it looks good. But as it dries it gets poofy and a little frizzy. I have alot of hair and its so so thick, and it's naturally really voluminized. What can keep my hair from not poofing and just letting it be pretty curls that don't have to much body.I want like Sarah Jessica Parker's hair

Try to use a defuser, which is just something you can pick up in the hair section or any conveniant store, and blow dry your hair on cool to lock in style better and reduce tons of frizz. As you blow dry spritz with salt water, which you can make at home for alot cheaper then the stuff you buy at the store. Just take a spray bottle and fill it with half water and half sea salt or coarse salt. The salt water will give you beachy waves like Sarah. Hope this helps!

You are using too much product. You need to find a good friz control shampoo. Make sure you condition it well in the shower and be sure to rinse it clean. I would stick to just moose... Serum, gel, and spray is way to much and the spray is the biggest culprit.

I am adding a link to a good shampoo and moose. Plain old suave conditioner will do.

You should buy a diffuser for your hair dryer. When I get out of the shower I towel dry and brush my hair. Then put gel in it, scrunch it, and us the diffuser to dry it. You can add more gel as it dries. You will have big curls then. Then use hairspray. It shouldn't be too frizzy. I sometimes do it before bed, then when I sleep on it, it will flatten out a bit.
