long, thick, rollers

cut a car cleaning sponge into thick strips and cover with aluminum foil.

with damp (not wet) hair , wrap around sponge roller, bend ends of roller to the inside (to create an ' 0 ') and wait to dry. take out rollers apply pomade to ends.

i do it at work at least 3 times a week

straighten your hair, or go to the hairdressers

Go to the hairdressers and ask for it to be realxed, that will help it to be wavy instead of very curly.

Well yes you can have it but there are some things to consider along with it...

Since your hair is already curly and you want it to be wavy you are going to need to get a perm with rods that are larger than your natural wave. I suggest going only 1 size larger ( 2 at most ) because as your hair grows the tighter curl pattern will return at the root area. Going 1 size larger allows you to relax the curl and hide the curlier hair that is growing in giving you more life out of the perm.

Weather you get the perm or not you should use a leave-in conditioner. Naturally curly ( and chemically treated hair) tend to be dry. The leave-in conditioner locks in moisture and helps to keep frizz down. Choosing one can be difficult because they can be heavy and leave the hair oily. I suggest using Paul Mitchell's The conditioner because it is light and not oily. Good Luck.

The key to making your hair wavy and tousled a la the Olsens is choosing the right product. You'll need to use something that pulls the curls out, so start by using a good quality shampoo and conditioner. I think the best range you can get is John Frieda. If you use his Frizz Ease products, they can either enhance or straighten your curls out. Wind Down would be particularly good.

You then need to blow dry your hair straight with a big paddle brush. After that, ironically, you'll need to tong your hair - only very gently to encourage some curls. But you don't need to tong it all over - just use individual strands for that lovely boho look.

For the first time, it might be worth getting a hairdresser to do it for you - watch them closely and you'll be able to copy the look at home easily.

if you are an ethnic person you should use a relaxer. It is great for loosening curls (personal experience). Otherwise see a hairdresser because I have no clue. But my mother is a certified beutician I could ask her and get back to you.
